Foraging Workshops at Kelmarsh Hall – Thursday 24 September

Discover the wild foods growing around us on a guided foraging workshop at Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens. Led by local expert Lizzy from Tellus Mater, this session offers an introduction to safely identifying seasonal edible finds with care.

Lizzy will guide the group on a wander around the estate in search of hedgerow and woodland edibles, including wild fruits, herbs, mushrooms and plants. Along the way, participants will learn key identification features and preferred habitats to support their own foraging journey.

What the workshop covers

There will be an opportunity to sample wild food makes and bakes prepared by Lizzy, demonstrating how foraged ingredients can be incorporated into everyday cooking. The session will also cover good foraging practice, preservation techniques and species to look out for in the months ahead.

What to bring

You may wish to bring a camera, notepaper and something to drink for the walk. Please wear sturdy, comfortable footwear and clothing appropriate for the weather.

The workshop takes place on Thursday 24 September 2026, from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Tickets are £40 per adult.

Book your place to join Lizzy for this practical introduction to foraging at Kelmarsh Hall & Gardens.
