At Kelmarsh we have a number of finer details in the Hall to help make your day extra special.
These details include little extras such as infill flowers, garden games, cake stand and knife.
The Hall itself is home to beautiful romantic decor, which you’re welcome to add to with your own personal touches.
The Catering
We are delighted to have Portfolio Events Catering as our main caterers for weddings at Kelmarsh Hall.
The wonderful team at Portfolio look after all of the food and drink elements of your day.
Portfolio offer a range of superb food choices, made with locally sourced ingredients, tailor-made to suit you, and all delivered with excellent service
from their professional team.
With a range of delicious seasonal menus to suit any wedding, including canapes during your drinks reception, the wedding breakfast, and food for your evening reception, Portfolio can cater for all.

Drinks Packages
Portfolio offer a brilliant selection of drinks packages to suit your day, from reception drinks, wines during your wedding breakfast and toast drinks during the speeches. You can hand pick the drinks you wish to celebrate your big day. If you would like to put together a bespoke drinks package, Portfolio would be delighted to work with your and your own ideas.

The Romantic Gardens
The award winning grade II* listed gardens at Kelmarsh Hall are a wondeful addition to your day to impress your guests! With our full day packages, the gardens are exclusivley yours. With a beautiful formal terrace, intimate flower gardens and woodland walks, the gardens are a truly magical place.
The beautiful gardens provide you with quintessentially English wedding photographs, or are the perfect place for a romantic stroll if you want a moment to yourselves throughout the day!

Flowers and little extras
At Kelmarsh Hall we include infill faux flowers around the Hall, to keep the rooms looking beautiful for you and your guests.
For festive weddings, these can be changed to Christmas decorations!
We also include a number of extra touches for our couples, including lanterns on the front steps, easels for your welcome boards or table plans, and a silver cake stand and matching knife. These are all included in our venue fee, so there are a few less things to think about!

Getting Ready Room
At Kelmarsh we have a lovely ‘getting ready room’ in the Hall, where brides and their bridal party can get ready on the day of their wedding, with enough room for make-up artists and hairdressers. The room is available for you to use on the morning of your wedding day, and can be used throughout the day for any touch ups if needed!
Please note that our bridal room is only included with our full day packages, and will be an extra cost for those only using Kelmarsh for their ceremony or for Orangery bookings.
Baby Grand Piano in the Saloon
In our beautiful Saloon is our Baby Grand Piano.
Just tucked away in the corner of the Saloon, the piano makes a beautiful extra for your day. It can be played during your ceremony, for those all important walk down songs, or as an extra bit of entertainment for your guests during your drinks reception.

All of our musical recommendations have played at Kelmarsh before, and have always done a fabulous job!
Your musicians can be situated in various areas to enhance your wedding receptions, including outside on the tea terrace lawns.
We have welcomed harpists, string quartets and acoustic guitarists to Kelmarsh, which really is a fabulous addition to any part of your day.
At Kelmarsh, we also have a SONOS sound system, which can be played around the venue during your day time celebrations.

Seasonal Decorations
Kelmarsh Hall is a fabulous Christmas haven during the festive period.
The Kelmarsh team decorate the Hall packed full with festive ambiance, including Christmas trees in each room, lavishly decorated mantlepieces with seasonal foliage, baubles and pine cones.
If your wedding date falls during the Christmas season, our decorations are included at no extra cost. We will always try to match our seasonal decorations to your wedding colours as best as we can. You are also welcome to bring in your own!
Along with our decorations, the fire in the Great Hall is lit, so you and your guests can be extra cosy!
Garden games
The West Terrace provides the perfect setting for a selection of traditional garden games, including jenga, naughts and crosses, quiots and dominoes.
Perfect for you to enjoy the gardens with your guests, overlooking our beautiful lake and parkland beyond.
Historic Features and Decor
Built in 1732, Kelmarsh had a number of families live here. The most prominent owner of the Hall was Nancy Lancaster.
Nancy was a fabulous interior designer who set the trend for the Twentieth Century’s English Country House look. Subsequently, Nancy decorated the Hall in stunning pastel colours, adding gorgeous chandeliers to each room, and much of the beautiful decor still here today.
In the Saloon and Ballroom, you can find stunning floor to ceiling windows, providing views of the rolling Northamptonshire countryside.
We love to give you the freedom to decorate with the Hall with your own theme and personal pieces.
Kelmarsh has lots of stunning mantlepieces, marble table tops and side boards you can decorate and give your own statement.
We also have our gorgeous alcove, which is perfect for photographs and a sweetie station.
